who we are:
„konfrontacje” is the student magazine of Tadeusz Nowakowski High School no. 9 with Bilingual Divisions, IB World School 2988, in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The magazine was first established in the late 2000s as a platform for student voices — critical, creative, and civic.
After a period of inactivity, the editorial team was revived in February 2019. Since then, „konfrontacje” has been published regularly in both print and digital formats, covering culture, education, school life, and the wider world.
mission:
The name „konfrontacje” — meaning 'confrontations' — captures the essence of what we do: confronting ideas, perspectives, and realities. We provide a space where students can develop journalistic skills, editorial practice, and meaningful engagement with their school and local community.
As the magazine of a bilingual school, „konfrontacje” encloses articles written in both Polish and English.
